Cincinnati Chili Spaghetti
EQUIPMENT
- 1 heavy bottom pot
INGREDIENTS
For Spaghetti:
- cooked spaghetti
- olive oil
- ½ lb ground short rib
- ½ lb ground beef
- 2 links smoked sausage
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 5 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 roma tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 36 oz marinara sauce
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
For Garnish:
- basil
- parmesan cheese
- scallions
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pot. Brown ground short rib, ground beef and smoked sausage.olive oil, 1/2 lb ground short rib, 1/2 lb ground beef, 2 links smoked sausage
- Add the onion powder and garlic. Cook until fragrant.1 tbsp onion powder, 5 cloves garlic
- Add the tomato paste, cook until caramelized or until the olive oil in the pot has a red tint.2 tbsp tomato paste
- Add the tomatoes and onion. Stir until everything is evenly coated and distributed.3 roma tomatoes, 1 onion
- Pour in the marinara sauce. Bring to a slow simmer.36 oz marinara sauce
- Taste to determine if you need salt and pepper.salt, pepper
- Serve on top of cooked spaghetti. Garnish with parmesan cheese, scallions and basil. Aaaaaaand Enjoy!parmesan cheese, scallions, basil, cooked spaghetti
